LOUIS XVI STYLE CONSOLE TABLE AFTER THE MODEL OF GEORGES JACOB BOOK FOR THE TURKISH CABINET OF THE COUNT OF ARTOIS AT VERSAILLES AROUND 1781.

This console table takes the piece made in 1781 by the famous carpenter Georges Jacob (1739-1814) for the second Turkish cabinet of the Count of Artois, future Charles X, at the Palace of Versailles.

It consists of a gilt carved wood base and green patina supporting a marble top with buttresses.
The belt is carved with the damping of the amounts of warrior attributes and pelt shields.
The four fluted, tapered feet end with winged sirens resting on a quiver and joined by a moving spacer bar
Napoleon III period.
